FOR A GREATER PURPOSE
Young Visions is an emerging social enterprise for health and education, based in Bristol. We deliver 360VR workshops for PSHE Education and build VR-Ready interactive visual experiences.
As a social enterprise seeking to use technology to improve young people’s understanding of topics including knife crime, homelessness, community cohesion and mental health, we need to obtain sufficient funding to achieve our mission. That’s why we are launching a number of new services with the aim of raising funds and supporting communities through these covid-times and in to the future.

Interactive Visual Learning & 360° Virtual Reality can breach the consciousness like no other medium for education. We believe that passionately at Young Visions. And we believe passionately in diversity. We would like to see a national schools curriculum that's inclusive to all learning styles. That's why we support the deeper integration of Immersive Technology and Interactive Visual Learning into our schools, colleges and universities present and future.
ON OUR YOUNG JOURNEY
We started our Young Visions journey by partnering with the University of Bristol to develop a prototype for our workshops delivering creative and innovative Virtual Reality for PSHE Education. Funded by the Brigstow Institute, together with Professor Debbie Watson from the UoB School for Policy Studies we co-hosted an inter-disciplinary workshop to bring together stakeholders with an interest in using Immersive Technologies for PSHE Education. At that successful event held at the Bristol Virtual Reality Laboratory we demonstrated our very first prototype to examine how VR360° can help guide and inform young people of the potential risks and consequences associated with experiences they may encounter in their transition to adulthood.

During the Pandemic of 2020/2021, like the majority of others, Young Visions was dramatically hit by cancellations and postponements. We had big plans and bookings in the diary for 2020 when society was forced to shut down. But we didn't let this stop us for long. We continued to engage with our networks and continued to search for opportunities to progress. And in January 2021, Young Visions and our Founder Steve Hutson became a Fellow of the School for Social Entrepreneurs after Steve completed his second SSE programme; Start Up Plus, delivered by the School for Social Entrepreneurs in partnership with Brewin Dolphin. During this lengthy and dynamic programme we developed new products and services built to support remote learning and offer students and practitioners a fresh resource to engage students in an innovative, engaging and immersive learning experience.

"This was pretty decent to be honest, the VR idea is pretty sick, you're a 'g' for putting up with us"
